Awkward Moment #117

Once when I was younger I walked into a bathroom stall that was unlocked and much to my surprise a girl who was a little bit younger then me was in there. I thought and reacted as fast as I could closing the door and immediately repeating how sorry I was. I didn’t grow up in this white neighborhood and the kids I grew up around were ruthless, so instead of just accepting my apology she shouted “BITCH” at me. From that day foreword I have always knocked before entering into any bathroom and/or stall.

Until recently.

At the tender age of 24 I now live with all my brother in-laws (there are four of them) who’s ages range between 12-19. I’m slowly losing my sight so in the middle of the night when I wake up everything is just one big blur. And one night (or morning depends on how you feel it was about 3 a.m.) I woke up with the urge to use the restroom. Instead of knocking I just turned the knob (which obviously was not locked) and entered the bathroom. Now obviously someone was in there, but he was taking a shit butt ass naked. It was the oldest of the ones I live with and let’s just say it’s not like I want to see him naked considering his oldest brother is my husband but I REALLY didn’t want to see this guy naked yet alone naked and taking a shit. My reaction was a little slower then it should have been, I rolled my eyes up towards the ceiling and backed out slowly and as I did this his reaction was slow too (because he smokes weed) which made this a little funnier then it should have been but still

Awkward Moment #016

At the young age of 24 I’ve experienced my share of awkward moments, I’ve decided to blog about them. Many of my readers do not know me, so here’s a little F.Y.I., I live for awkward moments! I deal with many different situations through comic relief including my embarassing moments.

My awkward moment #016 goes to my dad (which many of them do). I know I’ll be killed for this one but oh well. This one is more recent; my dad had a stroke when I was very little so now he makes sure he has a healthy diet he still works out and walks around the neighborhood we live in. One day I wasn’t suppose to be home as early as I came home and I’m not sure what provoked me to come home early on this day…..but it happend.

Normally when I come home I announce that I’m home (my dad is super paranoid and will ask “who the fuck came in” upon hearing the front door open) by stating loud and clear “I’M HOME DAD”. This time nobody greeted me upon my entrance so I go for the garage thinking maybe he’s working out, as soon as I fling the door open in an attempt to scare my dad a little; what my eyes caught glimpse of was more frightening then anything I’ve ever seen in my short 24 years.

There was my dad butt ass naked weighing himself in the garage! As quick as I opened it I closed it. But it was too late he knew I had opened the door and he began to yell through the door “why are home so early” I was in such a state of what the fuck did I just see all I said was I’m home. He proceeded to yell at me but my mind was still processing this awkward moment. To this day my mind is still processing this awkward moment.

Let me know what you guys this of this trust me I have way more awkward moments that I just can’t wait to share with you all.

Zombie Survival Guide (Brief Version)

20140318-185518.jpg

I am a zombie fanatic, it’s a little obsession of mine. This past sunday while watching one of the most shocking episodes of The Walking Dead I began wondering what if an outbreak did happen and our government could do nothing but lose control of the situation? Where would you go? How would you get there? Who and what would you take? A few questions that remain for me very uneasy to answer off the top of my head. We all know that if something like this happened we would be forced to think on our toes and would have no time to wonder what we can take. Now a days you can catch zombie survival tip commercials, perhaps our government is attempting to tell us something. So I have come up with a personal list of what I would take:

1.) A single backpack preferably one meant for hiking (for obvious reasons)

2.) My personal fire arm of choice would be a Glock 40 (it is a gun I am familiar with)

3.) A close combat weapon of choice would be between an ax or sledge hammer (along with this I would have a knife that is always within reach incase I lose my gun or close combat weapon)

4.) As for what is in my backpack a compass, dry foods (my dad is a military man so lucky me we have a bunch) canned foods are something I would eat at the moment I find them considering they would add quite a bit of weight to my person, I would keep one extra pair of socks because foot fungi is a real thing and to avoid such uncomfortableness I would alternate between pairs every so often, I would bring a flash light with solar powered batteries, a few water bottles and pray I can find a fresh water source incase I run out

5.) As far as who would go with me remains a mystery for fucked up reasons, my family comes to mind first my oldest sister has a small child ( unnecessary noises) my youngest sister I suppose I would not hesitate to bring with me, my dad although a military man he has his survival skills but he had a stroke and can walk, just not as fast as I would hope if he chooses to stay behind I’m sure my mom would too. It would be a difficult decision, if I could to choose to bring them all I would and I will.

6.) Where would I go? Anywhere that is not heavily populated, I live in a suburban area I’m an hour from Hollywood, California is not a state I would attempt to remain in, I would grab what I can get in a car fill up my take and drive as far away as I could before I have to start walking.

A brief list, but it’s short and to the point. If such a tragedy were to occur then the longer this list the less chance I have of survival. Any tips? Or maybe you’d like to share with me would you would do or take, feel free to comment, I love ALL feed back even if it is negative.

Do You Believe: Part 2

Last week I made a blog about the ideas of not being in this universe alone, I personally thought it was a rather crappy blog; however many of you didn’t, it got more views then any of my other blogs. So this week I decided to do a more in depth blog of what makes me believe.

First off I personally don’t see how some people are blind to the fact that there is so much of our universe that is unexplored and still continue to believe we are the “only ones”. Now you don’t have to necessarily think they look like the tall skinny grays the media chooses to promote it’s extremely possible for them to look damn near like us; what makes them aliens or ET is the simple fact that they are not from earth or possibly the same universe. Albert Einstein theorized that the universe is just one big circle where if we left the earth and traveled towards the left of the universe we would simply come back through the right, so to speak. I always thought that possible until I thought about the satellite we sent out I think back in the 70’s (I could be wrong about the time era) full of gold plated discs that had many sounds of our planet, such as greetings in many different languages, noises like babies laughing, different genres of music and a whole bunch of other sounds. My point is if Einstein was right we would have quite possibly come back into contact with that particular satellite by now, we lost all communications with it once it passed Pluto. I’ve always looked into the sky and wondered if there is more out there what or who is it? There are thousands of hieroglyphics by many different cultures that are separated by centuries that all point to one thing, which is the fact that we as a human race at some point in time (possibly numerous times) were visited by persons not of this world. There are many biblical facts that truly can’t be explained. Moses parted the Red Sea, and is described as an act of god; something that may have actually happend, but what if it were a god, but not the kind we have come to know and love? An extraterrestrial perhaps? Also anther possibility considering how much we technically don’t know simply because we weren’t there. There are thousands of theories, many can explain the things we don’t know but at the end of the day no matter what, they are just theories.

Please, I’m curious to know what it’s you all believe the theories, the facts, personal experiences you may have had. I can’t sit and claim that I have never witnessed an un identified flying object. One of my favorite claims was one of the first sightings/abductions ever recorded which was the Betty and Barney Hill story in 1961. Something that will truly never be explained and many people didn’t and still don’t believe their claims and yet it intrigued so many people across the nation. A story and claims we will never know the answers to, but I stand firm when I say I believe something not of this world happend. I think we are less fortunate and will never experience the things our ancestors did but only because times have changed. If Roswell is real and all that really happened then Area 51 held the survivors of that crash which told them and us we would not be welcoming to what we do not understand, I think they still visit earth they just do it stealthily as possible to avoid a possible war because we have grown so ignorant. I believe, do you?

Do You Believe?

I’ve known my boyfriend of 4 years for 10 years, and it wasn’t until we started dating that I had the conversation of my life. Within the first year of dating I discovered that although he is a relatively loved person he can be weird and believe in strange things. My love and I believe in Scientology. For those of you who don’t know what that is; it is a form of religion where we believe in the bible as well as scientific matters, I believe there is a god I just think he is not of this world.

Conversations like this do not come out of nowhere, not many people will out right state that they believe in the “unknown“. Most of the time we were under the influence (alcohol) when we would spark the conversations with our close friends. I find it amazing that so many people believe and yet we are all scared to say so.

Events through out time have done nothing but intrigue me further into this belief; Rosswell, Coral Castle, the pyramids located throughout the earth, and of corse the ever so famous Area 51. I started blogging my bucket list and what made me decided to write this instead was one of the things on my bucket list was to be admitted to enter Area 51 beyond the gates so I can “have a look around” of corse that would never happen. This blog is here to ask my fellow believers, what made you believe? Have you seen something out of this world; did you witness an unexplainable phonomena?

This is not my best blog but I feel I should be careful of what it is that I am blogging about, my option is my own, but I’m curious to know all of yours. Comment and follow 🙂

Domestic Violence: Barbie Edition?

While surfing the internet this past week I came across a rather interesting story; a story aimed at an artist by the name Sam Humphreys. Humphreys has released a rather bloody artistic view of the Mattel Barbie. Instead of seeing her glamorous and perfect like we all have come accustomed to seeing, she is featuring bloody lips and black eyes as well as bruises throughout her body.

Humphreys claims that it is an artistic way of showing children that not every angle of life is perfect. These barbies are only for show and Humphreys in no way expects Mattel to begin production on them. I for one would not appreciate these particular barbies being mass produced but I did enjoy the angle that Humphreys was getting at.

If you look at the line of products affecting our children today many of them go towards a fictional world, and Barbie is one of them. There are many different editions to Barbie going all the way back to 1959. She has thousands of friends and at one point she even stopped dating ken, Mattel had stated that like all Hollywood couples it was time for Barbie and Ken to come to an end. I do believe in letting children know that love doesn’t always last but it is possible. Barbie reflects perfection and she has many professions and many personal items such as her “dream house” a camper, and the ever so famous corvette.

These domestic violence barbies perhaps is a showing of behind mansion walls. In reality there is no such thing as perfect but Mattel mass produces a couple for every Barbie that has a baby, they are married with a happy home and often times the couples have more then one kid. I know the majority of society rules, but the fact that they released a pregnant Barbie without a husband or a wedding ring was something I slightly enjoyed, more as a collectors item but nonetheless I liked it because it was the truth, many children boys and girls grow up or grew up in a single parent home, it’s not like we as adults have never seen adultery or any other sin for that matter.

These bruised up barbies would possibly tell a child that it is VERY possible to get into a relationship that can put up a curtain and in front you see the dream house you see the pink corvette, all these things that make your life perfect; but behind this curtain behind the mansion walls is reality, an over worked mother and father, a parent that’s a drunk or possibly on drugs. We as adults should face the reality of our own, that our children could one day be facing these troubles, the fact that Humphreys used barbies to show us what we all know and refuse to acknowledge was one of the most artistic things I’ve seen in a while, these barbies were made and because they told a possible truth; a truth that we deny exists it demanded our attention.

My hat is off to Humphreys in this attempt to showing us what we know but do not want to see. Great job Humphreys.

Are you the one?

20140219-234725.jpg

I, like so many of you love reality shows. Right now I’m hooked on MTV’s Are You The One. While watching this an intriguing question came to mind, if I (or any of you) was placed in a house full of people including my boyfriend of 4 years (but in this situation I don’t know him) would I be able to still pick him out of the bunch as my perfect match. When I presented him with this question his answer was disappointing but truthful.

Everyone has heard “opposites attract ” which is something I truly believe because in actual reality nobody’s relationship is perfect. I think if placed in this house I’d still gravitate towards the man I have chosen now. There’s nothing in this universe that says we will last forever, but at the same time I feel like hiring someone to find your “perfect match” is just as pointless as hiring someone to wipe your ass, trust me you can do it yourself.

The heart wants what it wants. What’s in a perfect match anyways? He likes corridos and I like blues, he’s family oriented and I…not so much. My point is I don’t think I would pick him out of a bunch anymore then he would me, I came to know and love the things that I love with time and I’m sure many of you guys do the same throughout your daily lives without realizing you did it, the fact that many of you have or had that one person in your class that you hated and the next thing you know your doing a project with them (by force of the teacher of course) and you’re practically best friends before you know it. My love and I are nowhere near perfect, but if I had to think about the things that create the bond between us I’d have to say in my mind and his it’s what makes us perfect. Good luck to the men and women on Are You The One, but I think I’ll take my chances with gods good humor and look for that “perfect one”on my own.

I was writing about things of interest, now it's all about my moments in life that leave question, comment let me know your opinions
